"For the greater part of this (1992-2012) period of employment with our company, Phil occupied the senior role of Parts and Accessories and Rentals Manager overseeing both wholesale and retail P&A purchasing and sales operations. Phil also set up and oversaw the operations of our motorcycle rental business as well as having further roles in marketing, advertising and promotions and in staff training.

Phil’s work included the following:-
Parts and Accessories Manager (Including Rider Equipment, Clothing and Official Licenced Products):
- Wholesale Distribution – Liaison and day to day relationship management with our Queensland and New Zealand Harley-Davidson Dealerships
- Retail operations – Responsible for management of P&A in the company’s two retail Harley-Davidson and BMW motorcycle dealerships located at Newstead in Brisbane and at Southport at the Gold Coast
Motorcycle Rentals Manager:
- Start up of new department and ongoing management of Harley-Davidson and BMW motorcycle rental operations at both Brisbane and Gold Coast dealerships
Marketing, Advertising and Promotions:
- Oversaw and created a significant percentage of dealership activities, managed in-house graphic artist for both Brisbane and Gold Coast dealerships
Staff Training:
- Qualified by Harley-Davidson as a Trainer in store design, Motorcycle and P&A sales and merchandising, trained by BMW in sales and merchandising. Trained all relevant staff at Morgan & Wacker Harley-Davidson and BMW Brisbane and Gold Coast dealerships, and while as a Distributor, trained dealership staff in the company’s Queensland and New Zealand dealer networks (over 20 dealers).
As can be seen from the above, Phil’s various roles in our company’s former operations were varied, senior in nature, and in many instances complex and critical to overall operations.
Phil is pro-active in relation to his areas of responsibility and has the ability to seek out new opportunities to enhance the company’s P&A (and wider) performance.
Phil has operated at a high level in dealership operations, and as a factory qualified P&A trainer has ventured into other than Morgan & Wacker dealership operations, working with the staff of independent Harley-Davidson dealerships throughout Queensland and New Zealand.
I believe that Phil’s experience should bring to a motorcycle dealership a valuable perspective both from a retail and manufacturer stand point. He has an understanding of both the needs and requirements of manufacturers and the practical issues faced in a retail dealership."
